Please allow plenty of time for your application to be reviewed. You will typically hear back from us in 1-5 days of receiving your application unless otherwise noted. 

Once the application is reviewed and you have been approved to adopt you will be contacted via email to set up a time to meet the dog you are interested in and finalize paperwork if the dog is good fit. Make sure to add us to your safe senders email list! 

Applications will be processed in the order received. Due to the amount of calls not returned or emails answered we will attempt contact 2 times once by email and second by phone if we have not heard back in 24 hours we will move forward with the next application in line.

We are finding that a lot of applications are coming in but no communication from potential adopters is happening, this is a time consuming process and it holds up our adoptable dogs from potential homes. Please if you apply watch your email account especially your spam and junk folders. 

Meet and Greets for dogs that are listed as being in the Puppies for Parole training require meeting to be held during the week between the hours of 9am and 4pm as these take place at the facility. 

We do offer out of state adoptions as long as our volunteer transporters are available to assist us. We try to meet about half way when possible. 

Husky/Shepherd Mix? 
Weight: 45lbs 

This laid back, sweet, fun loving girl is looking for her forever home! She has had a rough start to her time with us as she was found injured, laying in the ditch on the side of the highway. It was discovered that her hip was dislocated. The vet attempted to put her hip back into place and secure it in an upward position for 2 weeks. Upon her 2 week check up it was determined that she would need FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) surgery to fix it properly.

Her surgery was completed January 9th and the heal time post surgery is 6 weeks, she will require short leash walks during this time. Her leg may have a slightly decreased range of motion or decreased limb length after surgery, these impacts are typically minimal and will not impact her quality of life, Cassie has showed even in pre-surgery activity that she is a resilient girl! 

She does well with other dogs, kids, even cats! BUT she would do best in home with NO men.. She tends to be snippy with adult men for a reason we can not explain other than there was someone out there that was not nice to her :( 

Cassie will be fully vetted including Spay, she is Heartworm Negative, Fully Vaccinated, Microchipped and on Monthly Preventatives. (She will not be available to go home until early February as she will need a re-check and Spay completed as well.

Meet Macho! 

Macho was a stray who was never claimed sadly. we estimate him to weigh between 60-70 pounds. 

DNA: Macho was DNA tested and we found that his top 5 Breeds are..... 
28% American Pit Bull Terrier 
28% German Shorthaired Pointer 
18% American Staffordshire Terrier 
11% Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler)
6% Boxer 

This boy has the demeanor of the American Staffordshire Terrier he is SO laid back and just want's love and attention. 

He does well with other dogs, we are not sure of cats as we do not have a way to test him and he does well with older kids, we have not had him around kids younger than 10 years old. 

Macho is currently in the Puppies for Parole Training Program. This 10 week program will teach him basic good boy skills such as Sit, Stay, Down, Come, Leash Walking, Kennel and House Training He is scheduled to graduate the end of March with his Canine Good Citizen Certificate (CGC) 

He is Fully Vetted including Neuter, Heartworm Tested (negative), Monthly Preventatives for Fleas/Ticks/HW, Fully Vaccinated including Rabies as well as Microchipped. 

Meet and Greets while he is in training will need to be scheduled Monday - Friday between the hours of 9am and 3pm since they will take place at the facility. An approved adoption application is needed prior to scheduling meet and greets.

Meet Scarlet! 

Scarlet was found wandering as a stray who was a tad underweight as well, she has been doing well during her time with us and is now looking for her forever home! She is 10lbs and full of jumping energy. We believe she is a Feist or Jack Russell Terrier Mix 

We don't know how she would do with cats as we don't have a way to test her, she does well with other dogs and we believe she is mostly house trained as well but it is hard to guarantee that being in a shelter environment. Scarlet would do best in a fenced yard as she has the breeds that like to chase things! 

Scarlet is gully vetted including Spay, Dewormed, Flea/Tick Meds Heartworm Tested, Vaccines including Rabies as well as Microchipped.

Meet Snickers! 

Snickers is a 12 week old puppy who was found wandering and sadly was never claimed by his owners. 

He is good boy who needs a LOCAL foster to adopt home as soon as possible! He has had his first round of vaccines as well as dewormed but will need 2 additional rounds of vaccines and be neutered. He will need a home with lots of patience as he needs house trained as well as taught good dog manners such as leash walking and commands, he does well in a harness and is still figuring out what a collar is. 

He currently weighs 16lbs so we estimate him to be a very large boy once full grown, we do not have any clue as to what breeds he is but our best guess is Lab, American Staffordshire Terrier??

Meet Rosie! 

Rosie is a medium size lab mix who is around 55lbs. She is good with Kids, other dogs and all people. We don't know how well she would do with a cat as we do not have a way to test her. 

She is already potty trained as she does not mess in her kennel at all! She enjoys snuggles and is fairly laid back. 

Rosie will be fully vetted including, Spay, Heartworm Tested, Dewormed, Vaccinated including rabies as well as microchipped

Meet Luna! 

Luna is a pit mix who is around 50lbs. She was found hit by a car and fostered for a bit but it was soon discovered she had a bit of separation anxiety, Luna is not a dog that can be kept in a kennel so her ideal adopter would be someone who works from home or is retired and familiar with the breed. 

She does take a bit to warm up to new people so if you are looking to adopt it would be ideal for you to come spend some time with her before taking her home. 

Luna is fully vetted including Spay, Heartworm Tested (negative), Vaccinated including Rabies as well as Microchipped.

Meet Flash! 

Flash is still very much a puppy who is around 7-8 Months old, he is quite shy and very much want's to please his person. He is still learning how to be a puppy and learning to play as well, he sadly didn't k now any of this when he came to us. 

Flash does well with anyone and everything, not sure about cats but he is submissive so we think he would do good with a cat in the home. He will need work on potty training as this is a hard task to teach while in a shelter environment. 

Flash is fully vetted including Neuter, Heartworm Test (negative) Vaccines including rabies as well as microchipped.

Meet Ireland! 

Ireland is a fun loving girl who as found as a stray, she is believed to be a Border Collie/Heeler Cross as she shows traits from both breeds. She does well with other dogs and everyone she meets. 

Ireland Is fully vetted including Spay, Heartworm Test 9Negative) Vaccines including Rabies as well as Microchipped.

Meet Barley! 

Barley is a young guy around 7-8 Months old who was found with Ireland, it is believed that he may be one of her offspring. He currently weighs round 30lbs is is still growing, we estimate him to be around 50lbs full grown. 

Barley is your typical puppy who needs out of the shelter environment so he can learn how to be a good boy! He does well with other dogs, and everyone he meets. We are not sure about cats as we do not have a way to test him. He will need work on house training and taught good manners. 

Barley is fully vetted including Neuter, Heartworm Tested (Negative) Vaccines including Rabies as well as microchipped.

Meet Jobie! 

Jobie was brought in as a stray and never claimed by his owners. He is around a 1 year old and weighs around 50lbs. He has done well being with us and does well other dogs, we are not sure how he would be around cats as we do not have a way to test him. 

Jobie is fully vetted including Neuter, Heartworm Tested (negative) Vaccines including Rabies as well as microchipped.

Meet Cletus! 

Cletus is a fun loving old man beagle dog, who we guess to be around 8-9 years old.  He likes to spend his days sniffing the ground minding his own business.. He will require a fenced yard as we all know how those beagle noses can get them in trouble! He does well with other dogs and everyone he meets! Not sure how he would be with cats but given his laid back personality we think he wouldn't mind them at all. 

Cletus will be fully vetted including Neuter, Heartworm Test, Vaccines including Rabies as well as Microchipped.

Meet Diamond! 

Diamond is a fun loving girl who we believe to be a Pit and Husky Mix, she weighs around 50lbs and is just over a year old. Diamond likes to play keep away and will walk with her leash in her mouth too! She does well with other dogs and everyone she meets. Given her bit of Husky we do not believe she would do well with cats, but we do not have a way to test her for sure.  She is house and kennel trained as well! Diamond likes to wander so close supervision or a fenced yard is necessary for her. 

Diamond is fully vetted including Spay, Heartworm Tested (Negative), Vaccines including Rabies as well as Microchipped.
